“We are pleased, once again, to present an exceptional program with presentations from leading professionals in the field of Autism Spectrum Disorders,” said Legislator Murphy, “Our symposium coincides with the announcement from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC) that the prevalence of autism disorders is now estimated at 1 in 100 children, an increase over the previous estimate of 1 in 150. That is 673,000 American children that have an autism disorder. These numbers are mind-boggling and there is no definitive plan for their care once they reach adulthood.”
Admission to the symposium is free and registration is required. Complimentary breakfast and lunch will be provided. To make a reservation and to learn additional information about the symposium and featured speakers, go to www.rocklandautismsymposium.com.
